Senior IT Analyst, Procurement Systems (SAP S/4HANA & SRM)

As a Senior IT Analyst within Administrative Systems Management (ASM), Duke's SAP Center of Excellence, you will play a key role in supporting and advancing procurement and supply chain business processes across Duke University and Duke Health.

In this role, you'll combine business analysis, SAP expertise, project leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver solutions that enhance procurement operations and enterprise efficiency. You'll serve as a trusted functional expert for SAP procurement technologies while partnering with business and technical teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience

Minimum of five years of experience in business operations or financial management, preferably within higher education or healthcare environments.
Experience configuring and implementing SAP Procurement and Supply Chain components, or comparable ERP systems.
Broad understanding of materials management, purchasing, and inventory management processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
Ability to effectively collaborate with technical, operational, and functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in higher education, healthcare, or large complex organizations.
Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, SAP SRM, SAP MM, and Business Warehouse (BW) solutions.
Exposure to enterprise system integrations and related technologies.
Project management experience supporting enterprise application initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a Senior IT Analyst, you will provide strategic and operational support for Duke's procurement and supply chain systems while helping deliver technology solutions that improve business outcomes.

Support & Optimize Enterprise Procurement Systems
Provide day-to-day support for SAP S/4HANA MM and SAP SRM business processes, including configuration, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
Perform requirements gathering, business analysis, solution design, and configuration for procurement-related enhancements.
Develop and maintain documentation supporting business processes and SAP solutions.
Lead Technology Projects
Lead procurement and supply chain technology initiatives from concept through implementation.
Manage project plans, timelines, stakeholder communications, testing activities, and solution deployment efforts.
Facilitate meetings, coordinate cross-functional teams, and support organizational change efforts.
Serve as a Functional Subject Matter Expert
Act as the SAP Procurement and Supply Chain configuration expert supporting critical business operations.
Provide guidance on procurement processes, purchasing workflows, inventory management, and related business functions.
Support SAP MM Invoice Verification processes and related integrations.
Drive Data & Reporting Solutions
Serve as the Procurement team's Business Warehouse resource, collaborating on requirements analysis, data modeling, reporting, security, and integration activities.
Partner with functional and technical teams to deliver reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making.
Collaborate Across Duke
Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, analysts, and other ASM teams to design and implement effective solutions.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance procurement efficiency, system performance, and user experience.
